Week 03: PROVIDE

I will always PROVIDE.
Arguably the most important pillar of TRAIN, PROTECT, PROVIDE.

NEVER ZERO // ISSUE N0. 034

week 03:

ProVIDE.

We talked about TRAIN. We talked about PROTECT. Today, we dive into what I think might be the most important pillar of what we stand for at TRAIN HARD: what it means to PROVIDE.

To PROVIDE is to do more than just bring food to the table; it’s a dedication to meeting every need—both physical and emotional—of those we hold dear. It encompasses so much more than financial stability; it's about being present, being a pillar of support, and being an unwavering source of strength in the lives of the people you love the most.

TO PROVIDE IS NOT SOMETHING MEASURED BY MONETARY SUCCESS ALONE BUT BY THE STRENGTH OF OUR SUPPORT AND THE CONSISTENCY OF OUR PRESENCE.

If you make a good living at work but are never really around for your kids, are you actually PROVIDING?

For many years, I obsessed over building a successful business, sometimes at the expense of being present for my family. I would be on calls, distracted, and not really there when I should have been.

Over the years, my idea of PROVIDING has evolved. I still need to build a successful business that can support my family and the many families of everyone who works for my company. I still need to show up as a leader who can lead us in the right direction, but I never lose sight of what PROVIDE really means.

I try to never lose sight of what matters, and I will always aspire to PROVIDE my family with my love, support, time, and attention.

I TRAIN HARD, not as an end in itself, but as a means to ensure I can always be that foundation. Physical fitness plays a vital role in my ability to PROVIDE; it ensures I have the energy to be actively engaged, the strength to support, and the health to be present for the long haul—at work and at home.

AS WE TRAIN, WE SHOULD DO SO WITH THE INTENT TO BE CAPABLE PROTECTORS AND GENEROUS PROVIDERS.

Every time I walk into the gym, I remind myself that I am able to PROVIDE because I TRAIN HARD. That alone is the motivation I need to TRAIN HARD every single day.

P.S. I hope you’ve enjoyed the last three blog posts. Those three words mean so much to me.

  • How does “TRAIN. PROTECT. PROVIDE.” play into your daily why?

  • What do those words mean to you, and how do you exemplify them to inspire those around you?

Let me know by hitting me up on Instagram. I want to share more of your replies so we can inspire everyone around us to TRAIN, PROTECT, AND PROVIDE!

YOU ARE THE AVERAGE OF THE PEOPLE YOU SURROUND YOURSELF WITH.
Share this knowledge with those in your life who are also driven to TRAIN, PROTECT, PROVIDE.
Together, we can build a brighter future by helping each other become the best version of ourselves.
