“I’m Too Old For This”

The internet is full of inspirational stories. And one story I recently stumbled on surely did not disappoint. 

"Too old for this" is a phrase many of us have probably used, but one that never applied to Richard Morgan. At 93, Richard is not just living; he's setting world records.

His story fired me up and is a testament to one of the values TRAIN HARD is built on: it's never too late to start.

Twenty years ago, at the ripe age of 73, Richard was anything but an athlete. But then, a casual offer to try rowing at his grandson's practice marked the beginning of a pretty inspiring journey. Fast forward to today, and Richard has four world championships under his belt and a rowing record that spans nearly ten times the Earth's circumference. Richard is rewriting the narrative on aging and fitness, and in his story, there is a lesson for all of us. 

Richard's regimen is straightforward but effective: a mix of rowing that spans all intensity levels, complemented by resistance training (similar to the style of training you’ll see on the TRAIN HARD App). 


Richard’s lean muscle mass, body fat percentage, and cardiovascular health rival those of men decades younger. He reminds us all that the deterioration we’ve all come to accept as an inevitable part of aging is anything but that.
